Beijer Ref Australia supports Industrial Refrigeration Technicians with Hands-on Training

Beijer Ref Academy, in conjunction with Danfoss Climate Solutions, is supporting Industrial Refrigeration technicians with Industrial Refrigeration Components training, focusing on optimising efficiency and costs within the IR system.

The session included 4th-year apprentices, junior technicians, and engineers, all eager to expand their skills and technical knowledge in this specialist field.

Held at the Danfoss premises in Clayton Victoria, the program combined both theory and hands-on learning. Participants were guided through a detailed overview of how Danfoss IR components operate within industrial refrigeration systems, supported by explanatory videos and practical application tips. Hands-on sessions followed, where attendees dismantled key components—including ICF valve stations—and were tasked with identifying and understanding the various parts.

Electronic controls were also a major focus of the day. Using Bluetooth connectivity, the Danfoss trainers Alan Kelly and Sergiy Kolinchuk demonstrated just how easily Danfoss solutions can be set up and managed. In addition, participants were introduced to the suite of Danfoss apps designed to simplify system monitoring and diagnostics.

Beijer Ref Australia Industrial Category Manager Glen Barnard says feedback from the day was overwhelmingly positive, with participants describing the training as highly informative and valuable for their development.
