CO2 leadership continues with the SCM Frigo CUBO2PLUS
The SCM FRIGO CUBO2PLUS has been specified and installed into the Ritchies IGA liquor store at Kurri Kurri NSW. The AJ Bakers project supported by SCM REF AU is another example of natural refrigerant leadership being shown by both businesses.
The SCM Frigo Cubo2PLUS R744 Transcritical CO2 Condensing Unit was a fitting selection for the Ritchies IGA group who are committed to reducing their stores’ refrigeration reliance on high Global Warming Potential (GWP) synthetic refrigerants.
The compact, CUBO2PLUS range is designed for high-efficiency with a Bitzer semi-hermetic compressor on a VSD and Carel controller. The unique design makes them easy to install with an integrated electrical panel and controls that are factory tested and pre-programmed, making the start-up process quick and easy.
“The CUBO2PLUS is a game changer widening the application base for CO2 systems, making naturals-based refrigeration system solutions more achievable in smaller format applications”, says Inderpal Saund, Business Development Director APAC & Sales Manager SCM REF Australia.
The condensing unit services four cool room chambers built by Coldmaster that are fitted with C-Rite inserts, doors, and a shelving system.
Feedback from the AJ Baker NSW Project team said,
“The R744 transcritical condensing unit SCM Frigo supplied to AJ Baker & Sons for Ritchies IGA Liquor at Kurri Kurri is a well-designed and sturdily built unit which comes complete with all necessary componentry to start up.”
“Set-up of the unit was relatively simple thanks to the aftersales support of @InderpalSaund and his team. No calibration of probes or transducers was required, just the adjustment of target suction set-point and differential settings to suit. We look forward to doing further projects with SCM Frigo and Indy’s team in the future.”
